Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information WebPager ("we," "our") collects when you use our Muse connector, why we collect it, and what rights you have. WebPager is a connector that lets you search domain availability, purchase domains, and publish websites from inside a Muse chat.

1. Information we collect

• Domain registrant contact information. When you buy a domain, we collect the name, email address, phone number, and postal address you provide as the registrant. This is required by ICANN (the organization that governs domain names): every domain registration must have accurate registrant contact details, and portions of this information appear in the public WHOIS/RDAP directory as required by ICANN policy. You may use a privacy/proxy service where supported to shield your details from the public directory.
• Website files you submit for publishing. When you publish a site, we receive the files you provide (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images, and related assets) so we can host and serve them. We do not scan these files for advertising or unrelated purposes.
• Connector interaction data. We receive the requests your Muse client sends to our connector — for example, a domain search query, a purchase confirmation, or a publish command — so we can carry out the action you asked for.
• Support correspondence. If you contact support, we keep your messages so we can help you.

2. Payment information

Payments are processed by Stripe Link. When you approve a purchase in chat, the charge is handled entirely by Stripe Link's secure checkout. We never see, receive, or store your credit card number or other payment credentials. We receive only confirmation that a payment succeeded (or failed), plus the amount and a transaction reference.

3. How we use your information

• To register, renew, transfer, and manage your domains with our registrar partner.
• To publish and host the website files you submit.
• To send renewal reminders and service notices (for example, before a domain auto-renews).
• To respond to support requests.
• To comply with ICANN requirements and applicable law.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information for advertising.

4. Information sharing

• Registrar: Name.com, Inc. Your registrant contact details are shared with Name.com, Inc., the ICANN-accredited registrar that sponsors your domains, as required to register and manage them, and portions appear in the public WHOIS/RDAP directory per ICANN policy. Name.com is the data controller for registration data; WebPager processes it on Name.com's behalf, and Name.com's handling of that data is governed by Name.com's own privacy policy published on its website. We may be required to produce registration records to Name.com within two business days under our reseller obligations.
• End of reseller relationship. If our reseller relationship with Name.com ends, registration personal data we hold on Name.com's behalf will be returned to Name.com or deleted, as Name.com requires.
• Payment processor. Payment details go directly to Stripe Link; see section 2.
• Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to resolve domain disputes under ICANN's dispute policies (such as UDRP proceedings).

5. Data retention

• Registration, transaction, agreement-acceptance, and renewal records — including related correspondence — are retained for seven (7) years from creation or receipt.
• Published website files are kept while your site is live and for 30 days after you delete it or move it elsewhere. Copies may persist in routine system backups, if any, until those backups rotate.
• General support correspondence is retained for two (2) years from our last contact with you.
• Support correspondence relating to registration, renewal, payment, transfer, or disputes is retained for seven (7) years.

We keep your account and registrant information for as long as you hold domains through us, plus the periods above to handle renewals, disputes, and legal obligations.

6. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may request your transfer authorization codes at any time. Note that ICANN requires registrars to retain certain registration records even after a domain is transferred or deleted. To exercise your rights, contact webpager@icloud.com.

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit and restricted access to production systems. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

WebPager is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced on our landing page before they take effect.
